چکیده

ABSTRACT Silicon is an inducer of plant resistance to arthropod pests, being a promising strategy for integrated management. The aim this study was evaluate the effect silicon on biological, reproductive and population aspects parental F1 generations two-spotted spider mite strawberry plants. Potassium silicate, nanosilica water were applied Two-spotted females confined leaf disks oviposition and, after hatching, larvae observed until emergence adults. Once adults had been obtained, couples formed in order pre-oviposition, oviposition, longevity fertility, with estimated net reproduction rate, intrinsic rate increase, finite increase necessary time doubling generation. prolonged duration some immature stages mites generations, did not affect whole biological cycle, though. periods generation negatively affected by potassium silicate nanosilica. parameters indicated that able lead long-run decrease pest population.

The Effect of Copper Nano-capsules on the Control of Two Spotted Spider Mite (Tetranychusurticae)

Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is one of the most important and widely cultivated Legume in the world. The two-spotted spider mite (TTSM), is one of the most important agricultural pests. This research provided some evidence of the applicability of CuO nano particles and nano capsule for controlling TTSM. To evaluate the effect of copper nano-capsules on the populations of TSSM from red be...

Application of two-spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticae for plant-pest interaction studies.

The two-spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae, is a ubiquitous polyphagous arthropod herbivore that feeds on a remarkably broad array of species, with more than 150 of economic value. It is a major pest of greenhouse crops, especially in Solanaceae and Cucurbitaceae (e.g., tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini) and greenhouse ornamentals (e.g., roses, chrysanthemum, carnations), ...
